Who We Are

Harmonic 639 is operated by Harmonic Frequencies LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Harmonic Frequencies,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Harmonic 639 mobile app or the harmonic639.com website.

What We Collect

  • Account information — your name and email address when you create an account (via Clerk authentication).
  • Usage data — what you listen to, sessions you start, mood selections, journey progress, and play history. This helps us personalize your experience.
  • Health data — if you choose to connect Apple Health, we read and write session data to help you track how you respond to each session. This data stays on your device and in your Apple Health account.
  • Subscription data — if you subscribe to Harmonic 639 Premium, your subscription status is managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We receive only what is necessary to grant access — never payment card details.
  • Newsletter signup — your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Contact form — your name, email, and message if you contact us through the website.
  • Voice recordings— if you use the Inspiration Capture feature, we access your device's microphone to record voice notes. Recordings are processed to extract text and stored in your account. You can delete any inspiration at any time. We do not use your voice recordings for any purpose other than providing this feature to you.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and personalize the Harmonic 639 experience
  • To save your sessions, journey progress, and preferences
  • To send you emails if you've opted in to our newsletter
  • To respond to your messages via the contact form
  • To improve the app based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your personal data to anyone
  • We do not use your data for advertising or tracking across other apps
  • We do not share your health data with any third party
  • We do not use your voice recordings for any purpose other than the Inspiration Capture feature

Device Permissions

Harmonic 639 may request the following device permissions:

  • Microphone — used solely for the Inspiration Capture feature, which lets you record voice notes about ideas or reflections during sessions. Microphone access is only activated when you explicitly tap the record button. We do not record audio in the background or at any other time.
  • Apple Health — optional. Used to read and write session data to help you track response patterns over time. Read-only and write-only scopes are clearly indicated when access is requested.
  • Notifications — optional. Used for journey reminders, daily affirmation pushes, and important account messages. You can adjust or revoke this at any time in your device settings.
  • Internet access — required to stream music, sync your data, and deliver content.
  • Storage — used to cache music for offline playback and store temporary files.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work without their required permissions.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the app and website:

  • Clerk — authentication (stores your email and name securely)
  • Supabase — database for sessions, play history, and app data
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription billing and entitlement
  • Klaviyo — email newsletter delivery (only if you opt in)
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Google Cloud — media asset storage and delivery
  • Expo / EAS — app build and over-the-air update delivery
  • Google Analytics — anonymized website traffic analysis
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymized website behavior analysis (heatmaps, scroll depth)
  • Mixpanel — anonymized product analytics

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Account data is managed by Clerk and Supabase, both of which use encrypted connections and secure infrastructure. Health data accessed via Apple Health remains on your device and in your Apple Health account; we never copy it to our servers.

Subscriptions & Billing

Harmonic 639 Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). All payment information is handled by them — we never see or store your payment card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time directly in your App Store or Play Store account settings.

Your Rights

You can at any time:

  • Request a copy of your personal data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Unsubscribe from our newsletter (link in every email)
  • Revoke Apple Health access in your device settings
  • Revoke microphone or notification access in your device settings

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Children's Privacy

Harmonic 639 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

International Users

Harmonic 639 is operated from the United States. By using the app or website, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
